Gameboy Retreat is a one-person shop in Stockton, California. This page says plainly what the site collects, why, and who else handles it. Your personal information is never sold.

What is collected

When you buy something

Your name, email address and shipping address, plus what you bought and what you paid. Card details are entered on Stripe's checkout and never reach this site's servers.

When you offer a console to sell

Your email address and what you tell us about the item: the console, its condition, your asking price and whether you prefer pickup or shipping.

When you join the email list

Your email address. It is used only to send new restorations and shop news, and every email has an unsubscribe link.

When you browse

Which pages you view, which buttons you click, and which site sent you here (for example a search engine or a link posted on social media). This is tied to a random identifier kept in your browser for that visit only. It is not linked to your name or email, no cookie is set for it, and it is deleted after 180 days.

The site also uses Google Analytics, which sets cookies and collects information such as your device type and approximate location. Google's handling of that data is described in Google's privacy policy, and you can opt out with Google's browser add-on.

Most consoles are one of a kind and sell quickly. Subscribers get the photos before anything goes public. No spam, unsubscribe any time.
